About ASL Snapshots

Like many Deaf people, Christina grew up without access to sign language due to the unfortunate popular (and false) misconceptions that sign language is a last resort.

Christina's world burst open with self-confidence when she simultaneously discovered both ASL and rock climbing as a young adult throughout her studies at Gallaudet University, the only higher education bilingual institute in the world for the Deaf.

These two passions shaped a lifelong journey of traveling, living, and adventuring across North America as an ASL advocate, outdoor mentor, classroom teacher, and AMGA-SPI rock climbing guide through various avenues.

After over a decade of ASL immersion in vibrant Deaf communities across America, Christina immigrated to Canada to be with her husband. ASL Snapshots was born from the stark contrast of life in rural communities.

Through art, digital content, and print media, Christina hopes to bring an accessible ASL immersive experience to everyone.
